Phantasy Star Online 2

  • There have been plenty of questions surrounding Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. It's a strange new hybrid of game and expansion coming next year, and a few of its important features will be the ability to move characters between games. This has many players wondering how it'll function and PSO2 Meseta what will or won't be coming over with them. Sega recently published an FAQ to address these questions about the new game, and it clarified some matters about transfers. Here is what we learned.

First, while many things will be transferable from the current sport New Genesis, the reverse will often not be accurate. There'll be new things, emotes, outfits and other items coming to PSO2: NGS which aren't in the current game and won't be transferable. It's been stated that old and new body cosmetics cannot be outfitted together. This is probably because both games are receiving graphical updates, but character models will differ and"morph" based on what sport a body decorative is from. Most of your makeup collection from CAST parts, outfits, accessories and hair continue to New Genesis though.

Storage won't be a big issue for your broad collection. Storage data (even growth slots) will be shared between games, and things from PSO2 can be accessed as long as they also exist in New Genesis. Meseta will not be transferable, and a new currency will be released instead. Your Alliance will still exist, but it will not be the same. Sega has stated there will not be Alliance Quarters, Tree or even Storage but Alliance Chat will cross matches. It seems just like Alliances are obtaining a downgrade, but we don't know too much about it however. Whisper and Group chats will also function between matches.

As for other currencies, only Arks Cash and Star Gems will operate between games because they can both bought with real cash. FUN and other currencies (likely things like badges) will not be transferable, as New Genesis will most likely have new ones in place similar to cheap Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta Meseta. This is a good design option because it puts everyone at an even level when starting the match.
